Saadani is the only wildlife sanctuary in East Africa where the African bush directly kisses the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean. Witness elephants, giraffes, lions, and waterbucks roaming right on the beach, and embark on a scenic boat safari along the mangrove-lined Wami River.
Depart Dar es Salaam early at 05:30 hrs for Saadani National Park. Arrive for morning game drive spotting lions, buffaloes, and giraffes. Midday 2-hour boat cruise on Wami River viewing hippos, flamingos, and crocodiles. Hot lunch served at oceanfront lodge. Afternoon game drive along the beach before returning to Dar es Salaam by 19:30 hrs.
